On the 6th October, Year 10 and 11 GCSE Drama students from Stepney All Saints School attended The Crucible Conference at the National Theatre.

The programme was designed to help with the GCSE paper that Year 11 students sit during their May exam, using the current production of The Crucible as hands-on learning material.

SASS students were among over twenty schools participating in the conference. Students assisted Award winning Director Lyndsey Turner with a rehearsal with the cast (currently performing at the National Theatre). They learnt about Set and Costume Design with designer Es Devlin (who has worked with the likes of Beyoncé and Kanye West, and who also designed the Closing Ceremony for the 2012 Olympics. Students also helped to light the final scene of the play with Lighting Designer Tim Lutkin.
