About Us
Message from the Headteacher
Stepney All Saints School is a Church of England institution that upholds high standards in discipline, behaviour, and academic performance. The school’s vision that “we will achieve excellence and inspire generations the All Saints Way,” reflects its commitment to rigor, opportunity, community, and knowledge, supported by exceptional pastoral care.
In this nurturing environment filled with spiritual guidance, students are encouraged to develop into self-assured individuals with the independence and resilience to excel in school and beyond.
Students at Stepney All Saints are urged to participate fully in a diverse range of enrichment activities. Engaging in these activities not only challenges students but also fosters social responsibility, teamwork, and confidence.
The school aims for students to leave feeling fulfilled, proud of their accomplishments, and with a strong sense of empathy towards others. If our values resonate with you, we warmly invite you to visit Stepney All Saints for a personal tour.

Stepney All Saints is a Church of England school extending from Year 7-11, with the Stepney All Saints Sixth Form College focused on Year 12 and 13 learning.

Our Christian Values and Ethos
Our Vision
At Stepney All Saints, our vision is rooted in the Christian faith:
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” (Luke 6:31)
This guiding principle calls us to live the All Saints Way, where forgiveness thrives, respect for all is cherished, inclusion is celebrated and compassion is practised. In our school, this means;
We Learn Together - We Pray Together - We Achieve Together
As a Church of England school open to all, we believe that each person is deeply loved by God and full of unique God-given potential. Our vision is to offer a rich and nurturing environment where all are supported to grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to providing high-quality teaching and learning alongside abundant opportunities for enrichment; through worship, service, the arts, leadership, and extracurricular activities that feed not only the mind, but also the spirit and soul. Rooted in the Christian ethos, our inclusive vision celebrates diversity and promotes mutual respect. We aim to build a community shaped by love and justice, where each person is known and supported to thrive, and where our shared life is marked by prayer, purpose, and hope. Together, we seek to live out God’s love and serve the common good; locally, nationally and globally.
This leads us to Achieving excellence and inspiring generations the All Saints Way.
Collective Worship
At SASS, our daily reflections and prayers bring us together as a community, for those of all faith and none — one that values inclusion, compassion, and mutual respect for all. Each morning, our student-led reflections offer us wisdom, encouragement, and a reminder of the values that guide us. Whether you find strength in prayer or peace in quiet reflection, this time is for all of us so that we may start our day with purpose.
Twice every half-term, we come together at St. Dunstan’s Church for our Eucharist services, led by our students under the guidance of Rev. Trevor Crichlow. These moments of worship remind us of the power of community, gratitude, and faith in action. We also honour the devotion of our Muslim students, who observe daily prayers and Jummah prayers every Friday.
We learn together | We pray together | We achieve together
As part of our ongoing commitment to enriching the spiritual life of our school community, we are pleased to offer students the opportunity to attend Eucharist services at St Dunstan’s Church throughout the school year.
Students will have the chance to attend two Eucharist services per half term, providing them with a meaningful space for reflection, worship, and personal growth in a welcoming and inclusive environment
While Foundation students will be given priority for places, we also welcome other students to join, subject to availability. The Eucharist service dates are as follows:
Spring Term
Thursday 3rd April
Summer Term
Thursday 1st May
Thursday 22nd May
Thursday 12th June
Thursday 10th July
All other students can sign-up via the form on Google Classroom.

Assembly Themes
https://www.stepneyallsaints.school/About-Us/Assembly-Themes/Statement of Entitlement
As a Church of England school, we follow the Statement of Entitlement to ensure every child receives high quality Religious Education that supports their spiritual and moral development. This means every student, regardless of faith or background, has the right to explore Christianity as well as other major world religions in a respectful and thoughtful way. Our aim is to help our students understand different beliefs, reflect on their own values, and develop the skills to live well in a diverse society. Through this, we hope to nurture forgiveness, respect, compassion and inclusion as a strong moral foundation. We give our students the space to ask big questions, form their own views and this is done in a balanced, inclusive and supportive way, in line with our Christian ethos.
Anti-Racism Statement
In May 2020 a black man, George Floyd, was murdered by police in the United States. This triggered a global outcry and demand for equality and justice for black communities across the globe.
Part of the debate in Britain sought to advance a greater understanding and awareness of unconscious bias and the history and mistreatment of black people in Britain.
As a diverse and anti-racist school we are united in our commitment to fight racism in all its form.
Upon discovering that Sir John Cass had direct links with the slave trade in Britain, it was decided that the continued link of his name and the school conflicted with our school’s pledge to oppose all forms of racism, discrimination and inequality.
Therefore in August 2020, following consultation with the Board of Governors, staff, students and members of the community, a new name for the school was agreed and our school became Stepney All Saints Church of England Secondary School.
Our new name emphasises both our local community and our strong connection with St Dunstan’s and All Saints Church.
We are actively working with Representation Matters Ltd, to transform our school into a space where every individual feels they truly belong.
Trustees
Our school has been established for over 50 years and is supported by our trustee, The Portal Trust.
