A group of forty Year 11 boys went to the Argoed Lwyd Outdoor Education Centre in Wales on the weekend of 17 to19 March 2023.

Argoed Lwyd Outdoor Education Centre is located in the stunning hills of the Brecon Beacons National Park. They deliver residential school trips where students can take part in a number of adventurous activities and explore the natural environment that surrounds them. The weekend away included a range of engaging outdoor activities including climbing, hiking, caving and kayaking through a stunning river.

In between activities, students also had English revision sessions and exam practice for their upcoming GCSE’s in May. The students found the residential trip beneficial for their learning and enjoyed spending time with their friends in the final months of their secondary education.

A special acknowledgement to The Portal Trust for allowing students from Stepney All Saints School to regularly visit and benefit from the activities organised by the Argoed Lwyd Outdoor Education Centre.
