Re: NEU strike action
As you know the NEU has planned further strike action to take place on Wednesday 15th March and Thursday 16th March. The strikes are happening because of the ongoing national dispute between the unions and the government over teachers’ pay, and not because of any issues at our school.
I’m getting in touch now to give you as much notice as possible that learning may be disrupted next Wednesday 15th March and Thursday 16th March. We are considering several options, including moving some lessons online and closing the school.
At this stage I recommend that you start to make alternative childcare arrangements for Wednesday 15th March and Thursday 16th March.
I will write to you again early next week with further updates as soon as I have definite information.
