Headteacher’s letter 6.6.24
6th June 2024
Dear families,
I trust you and your family are well and have been able to enjoy the half term break. I also hope the students have been looking forward to their return to school and the start of the final half of the summer term.
Attendance
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and commitment to ensuring high attendance at our school. Your dedication to your children’s education is evident in the remarkable attendance levels we have achieved this year. We understand that fostering a habit of regular school attendance requires a collaborative effort between the school and families, and your efforts in this regard have been truly commendable.
High attendance not only benefits the academic progress of our students but also contributes significantly to their social and emotional development. Regular attendance helps students build strong relationships with their peers and teachers, engage fully in the curriculum, and develop a sense of responsibility and discipline.
We are proud to report that our school has the highest attendance rates in Tower Hamlets and one of the highest in London, and this success is a testament to the importance you place on education and your active role in supporting your children’s learning journey. Your cooperation in ensuring that students arrive on time, prepared, and ready to learn each day is invaluable.
We kindly ask for your continued support in maintaining these high attendance rates. Regular attendance is crucial for the ongoing success of our students, and together, we can help them achieve their fullest potential.
Talking About Online Safety
Keeping up with the latest developments in technology can be difficult for families, however it is important that we support our young people in developing safe online behaviour. With this in mind, we have shared updates on some issues on our website HERE. Conversations with young people are essential to check on their online well-being and guidance can also be found on how to discuss such matters HERE.
