Independent Study Rota

Note: This replaces the homework timetable.

• Allocated days are when students should dedicate appropriate time to each of the subjects. Time should be used to complete homework tasks, revision or other independent learning.
• A minimum of 1 hour should be spent on each subject each day
• Before school, during break and lunch time as well as after school are all viable opportunities for independent study
• Option 1- Health and Social Care, Graphics, ICT, Drama, Media Studies, Psychology, Sports Studies, Sociology, Textiles
• Option 2 – Business, Child Development, Resistant materials, Media Studies, ICT, Music, Sociology, Psychology
• Option 3 – History, Geography
• This is a generic rota for each year group – to further assist students will also receive a personalised rota with their individual subjects shown
• KS3 will spend a minimum of 45 mins per subject, to either complete homework in this time or complete extended work
• Curriculum materials should be made available on line or in a virtual learning area.
• Tasks should be monitored during form time and extended learning diary completed.
