Headteacher's Letter 26.03.2026

Dear families,

The past few weeks of term have been incredibly busy, filled with purposeful learning, enrichment activities, and preparation for the important exam season ahead. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all students, staff and families for their continued commitment, resilience and support throughout the term.

As we reach the end of term, we enter a period marked by both reflection and celebration. Easter, one of the most important events in the Christian calendar, invites us to reflect on themes of hope, renewal and new beginnings—values that resonate deeply with our school’s Christian ethos. At this special time, we wish all members of our community a peaceful and joyful Easter.

In addition, as the holy month of Ramadan came to an end last week, we hope that all those in our community who observed this sacred time had a meaningful and fulfilling experience. We extend our warmest wishes to everyone who celebrated Eid, and trust it was a joyful occasion shared with family and friends.

 Ofsted Inspection Update

We are pleased to share that our recent inspection was a very positive experience. Inspectors recognised the many strengths of our school community, including the commitment of our staff, the excellent attitudes of our students, and the high-quality provision on offer.

We are currently awaiting the publication of the final report by Ofsted and will share the full outcome with you as soon as it is officially released.

 Easter Holiday Revision Sessions

We are pleased to be offering a programme of Easter revision sessions for our Year 11 students over the holiday period. These sessions are an excellent opportunity for students to consolidate their learning, receive targeted support from subject specialists, and prepare effectively for their upcoming examinations.

Sessions will run from 9:00am to 12:00pm on:

  • Monday 30th March – Thursday 2nd April, and
  • Tuesday 7th April – Friday 10th April

Full details, including subject timetables and expectations, will be shared directly with students and posted on their Google Classroom. We strongly encourage all students to attend and take advantage of this valuable additional support.

Keeping Your Contact Details Up to Date

It is essential that the school holds accurate and up-to-date contact information for all families. This ensures that we can contact you quickly in case of an emergency and keep you informed about important school updates.

If there have been any changes to your details—such as your address, phone number, email address, or emergency contacts—please inform the school office as soon as possible.

We use EduLink as our main platform for communication with families. Please ensure that you have access to EduLink and check it regularly for messages and updates. If you are experiencing any difficulties accessing the system, please contact the school on info@stepneyallsaints.school and we will be happy to support you.

Sixth Form Applications

We are delighted to share that we have received a record number of applications for our Outstanding Sixth Form, both from our current Year 11 students and from external candidates. We look forward to welcoming many of these students into our Sixth Form community in September.

Please note that the deadline for Sixth Form applications for the 2025/2026 academic year has now passed. If you have submitted an application, you will receive a notification from us shortly outlining the next steps in the process. For more information about our Sixth Form, please visit our website.

Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme is a service run by Tower Hamlets and offers free holiday clubs for children aged 4–16 who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals. These clubs run during the school holidays and provide a valuable opportunity for children to stay active, social and engaged. Each day includes:

  • A free, healthy meal
  • Fun physical activities such as sports and games
  • Creative sessions including arts, crafts, music and drama
  • Trips and other engaging experiences
  • Opportunities to learn more about food and healthy living

Clubs take place at a range of venues across Tower Hamlets, including schools, community centres and sports facilities.

If you believe your child may be eligible but have not received a letter, please contact the HAF team at: HAF@towerhamlets.gov.uk

We encourage families to take advantage of this excellent opportunity for children to enjoy their holidays, try new activities and spend time with others in a safe and supportive environment.
