Headteacher's Letter 19.06.2026
Dear families,
Temporary Change to School Uniform – Hot Weather
The weather forecast for next week indicates that temperatures are expected to be unusually high. To help ensure that students remain comfortable whilst continuing to learn effectively, they will be permitted to wear their school PE kit instead of their normal school uniform on Monday 22nd, Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th June 2026.
Please note that students must wear the official school PE kit and not alternative sportswear. Students not wearing either the correct PE kit or school uniform may be required to return home to change.
The PE kit comprises:
- School PE shirt in royal blue
- Navy school PE tracksuit trousers
Students who prefer to wear their normal school uniform may continue to do so, however blazers will not be required during this period of hot weather and can be left at home if preferred. Students will be informed when blazers are required again and normal uniform expectations resume.
In addition, all students are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle to school so that they can refill it throughout the day and stay hydrated. Water bottles are also available to purchase via ParentPay. Students may also wish to apply sun cream before coming to school, if appropriate.
We will continue to monitor the weather forecast and will inform families if any further arrangements are required.
Thank you for your support in helping students stay comfortable, safe and ready to learn during the warmer weather.
Warm regards,
Ben Siaw
Headteacher
