Headteacher's Letter 09.06.2025

Dear families,

Towards the end of last term, we carried out a parent survey. While we were very encouraged by the positive feedback received, one area that stood out was communication. At Stepney All Saints, we are committed to building strong and effective partnerships with parents and carers. Clear, timely, and accessible communication is central to this, helping you stay informed and engaged in your child’s learning and wellbeing. To support this, we have produced a brief guide outlining the different communication channels we use—and how you can make the most of them.

Essential Communications

These are the most important channels for staying updated on your child’s education and school life:

  • Headteacher’s Fortnightly Letter
A letter from the Headteacher is sent every two weeks, sharing key updates, celebrations, and reminders.
How to use: Read each edition to stay in touch with whole-school developments and upcoming events.
  • EduLink
EduLink is our main communication platform for messages about attendance, behaviour, homework, and key school notices. The link to the headteacher’s letter is sent to you via EduLink.
How to use: Download the EduLink app and ensure notifications are turned on so you do not miss important updates.
  • Google Classroom – You will have been invited to join all of your child’s virtual classrooms via email.
Used by teachers to post homework, resources, and announcements for students.
How to use: Parents are encouraged to monitor their child’s account and turn on notifications to stay informed of assignments and deadlines.

 Secondary-Level Communications

These platforms help keep you connected with wider school life and community news:

  • Newsletter
A publication highlighting school events, student achievements, and important dates.
How to use: Look out for the newsletter via EduLink or on the school website.
  • Social Media
We share photos, celebrations, and daily updates on our official social media channels.
How to use: Follow us @StepneyAS on Twitter/X, Instagram and Facebook to get a glimpse into school life.
  • School Website
A central source for term dates, curriculum information, policies, and key announcements.
How to use: Visit regularly at www.sepneyallsaints.school and use it as your go-to reference for general school information.

 Direct Contact

For specific concerns or to discuss your child directly:

  • Classroom/Form Teacher
The first point of contact for academic and day-to-day issues.
How to use: Reach out via EduLink or request a meeting through the school office.
  • Head of Year (HOY)/Head of Department (HOD)
    For year-group-wide or subject-specific concerns.
How to use: Contact details are available on the school website https://www.stepneyallsaints.school/contact , or you can arrange a conversation via EduLink or the school office.

 Serious Concerns

For more urgent or sensitive matters:

  • DHT Surgeries (Deputy Headteacher)
Regularly scheduled sessions for discussing more serious or complex issues.
How to use: Appointments can be requested through the school office.
  • Email: info@stepneyallsaints.school
For general queries or concerns that require follow-up by the relevant member of staff.
How to use: Email us at info@stepneyallsaints.school – messages will be directed appropriately.

We kindly ask all parents and carers to ensure their contact details are up to date and that notifications for EduLink and Google Classroom are switched on to avoid missing essential information.

Thank you for working with us to support your child’s education. If you need assistance using any of the tools mentioned, please contact the school office and we will be happy to help.

Warm regards,

Ben Siaw
