17th April 2023

Dear families,

The lighter mornings and good weather have heralded the start of the summer term and I would like to extend a warm welcome back to everyone. This is a busy period for us all in school with intense preparation for the forthcoming examinations for students in Years 11 and 13 as well as groups lower down the school, such as our Year 7s.

Eid Al-Fitr

As the month of Ramadan draws to an end, the date for our Eid closure will be Friday 21st April. Lessons will resume as normal on Monday 24th April.

Year 11 and Year 13 Examinations Season

External qualifications mean that for most Year 11 and Year 13 students, term finishes earlier than usual, on completion of their final exams and after the traditional leavers’ events. However, please note that the exam boards have designated Thursday 8th June and Thursday 15th June 2023 (afternoons only), and Wednesday 28th June 2023 (all day) as the final exams contingency dates. This means that in the event of any disruption, exams can be scheduled to these dates, or in advance of them.  All students in Years 11 and 13 should be aware that they must be available to sit exams from the date of their first exam until Wednesday 28th June 2023.

Key Events for this term
