Year 12 Bar Mock Trial Competition

In February year 12 Law and non-law students were involved in a Bar Mock Trial competition taking place at City Law School at City University.

Students had to present a case either for the prosecution or the defence for a specific case and went up against other schools. 

Our students who were on the prosecution team successfully won their case, as did our defence team!
 
Both cases were judged by HHJ Russell Gumpert KC who has served on the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and Abiodun Michael Olatokun – a lecturer at London South Bank University.
 
Students then took part in a workshop and a subsequent knowledge competition for which our student Maryam Liu was the overall winner.
